Cookie Policy
What we store, and why
Last updated: 12 October 2026
What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed for a site to function at all. Others measure how a site is used, or support advertising. This page lists every cookie Bamboo-Mat uses and what each one is for.
Your choice
Only strictly necessary cookies are set without asking. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only after you agree through our cookie banner.
If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device. Google's tag manager still loads, and sends Google a limited, cookie-free signal — the address of the page, the time and your browser type. It carries no identifier for you and cannot be used to recognise you on a later visit or on another website.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
Strictly necessary
These are always on. Without them the site cannot remember your choice or keep the booking form safe.
Analytics — only with your consent
These tell us how many people visit, which pages they read and where they arrived from. We use them to improve the site.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, which goes further than counting: it records how pages are actually used — mouse movement, clicks and scrolling — and replays those sessions to us so we can find parts of the site that are confusing or broken. Recordings are not linked to your name or your booking, and Clarity masks text typed into form fields. What Microsoft collects is described in the Microsoft privacy statement.
Marketing — only with your consent
These let us measure whether our advertising works, and show Bamboo-Mat to people who have already visited the site. They are set by Google and by Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
The booking widget
Table reservations are taken through SevenRooms, our booking provider, embedded on the reservations page. When that widget loads it may set its own cookies in order to run the booking and keep it secure. These are set by SevenRooms rather than by us, and are described in the SevenRooms privacy policy.
The widget appears only on the reservations page, and only because making a booking is what that page is for.
If you change your mind
When you withdraw consent, we stop the tools collecting anything further
and we delete the cookies that were set on this website — including
_ga, _gcl_au, _clck and
_clsk.
Cookies set on Microsoft's and Google's own domains — such as
MUID on clarity.ms or NID on
google.com — can only be removed through your browser
settings, because they do not belong to this website. The section below
explains how.
Managing cookies in your browser
Beyond the settings on this site, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies directly — usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of this site working.
- Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each document this in their own help pages.
- Clearing your cookies also clears your consent choice, so the banner will appear again.
Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a tool that stores something on your device, we update this page and ask for your choice again. Your existing choice is not carried over to a different set of cookies.
